There is a breathing technique that will help control anxiety. It is called relaxing breath, or 4-7-8 breathing technique, and consists of emptying the lungs, breathing in through the nose for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling the breath through the mouth for 8 seconds. Among its benefits are reducing anxiety and controlling anger responses. It also helps people with sleep disorders, and fatigue, and reduces migraine and asthma symptoms and blood pressure, among others. It even helps to deal with cravings.
